SAFETY POLICY

DOG WALKING

  • Hours of Operation: 7 days a week from 7am to 7 pm

  • Times of the year: All seasons exception in summer - dogs are not walked when temperature reaches over 30°C.

  • Stormy and extreme heavy rain days: no dog walking.

  • Usage of dogs wet weather gear for rainy days.

INDIVIDUAL DOG WALKING (Lead walking)

  • 1 or 2 dogs walked on lead – street walking on quiet areas away from heavy traffic, these dogs might be from the same house or have previously met before and are very friendly with one another and live closeby area.

  • They are not to go to an off lead area

  • If a stranger dog that seems excitable crosses the road heading to their direction I’ll stop, change direction myself and give them obedience instructions. Few of the dogs that are walked on lead are absolutely not ok with other dogs, so contact has to be avoided at all times.

  • Regular dog walking customers (dogs) are taught manners and basic obedience dog commands.

  • If they have been to dog obedience schools I’d reproduce what they have been taught – all information is written on Booking Form when I meet customer and dog at their homes.

GROUP WALKS (Off – lead areas)

  • Max. 4 dogs in the group.

  • They met before at least 3 times before putting them together inside the car.

  • They are matched by personality type and temperament.

  • Owner has given permission for the dog to go and to socialise with other dogs at an off-lead area.

  • Dog has been previously trained and has had previous experience going to off lead areas and comes back when called, it’s a sociable dog and non-threatening to other dogs.

  • Has been registered by owner with respective local council.

  • Designated off lead area at permitted times only.

  • Dog has had some basic obedience training.
